A lot of our customers had asked to bookmark messages, and now we have the ability to do that in Discord!
Right click a message to save it in your Server
Optionally add a tag, and access it in Dots dashboard!
We will be adding couple more enhancements shortly to this. Let us know your feedback!
You can now go to settings to add more categories to put any new channels that Dots create. You can also use this to add new categories (or a new dots admins channel) incase you deleted the one!
We have also fixed a few bugs with the flow editor, as well as added some info icons in the dashboard to better explain certain options.
We held an internal hackathon to work on couple new ideas, and we are excited to launch them!
1) Summary of a channel - Just use slash command /dots-summary , and Dots will provide a summary of the conversations in a channel for the last 48 hours. For now all users will have access to this, and they will get the summary DM'ed as well as posted in dots-admins channel in your server. Would love to hear your feedback!
2) Your community in review - Inspired by Spotify's wrapped functionality, we created a version for our discord communities. If you are interested in generating one for your community, please reach out to us at [email protected]
We rolled out support for new fields to push through Zapier. Check out our help article for more info on how to set up a Zapier integration.
Additionally, we also added a change nickname feature which will allow you to automatically change a member's nickname based on a given response. Note: this requires Dots to have access to Change nickname permission
Now you can use this to easily set up an onboarding flow, support ticket bot, or surveys. When you click a template, you can also see a preview of what it will look like.
We want to add more templates, so if you have ideas please let us know!
For public channel automations, we didn't have a way to get text based feedback from users until last week. We just added ability to add a modal which now means you can collect information from your users without having a private channel. Let us know any feedback!
We also added a few UI refreshments to make the top panel more prominent (more in the works).

A lot of our users had been asking for ability to send out multi-select surveys, and we just released it! Try it out in a sample flow!
You can also add actions in between existing actions by hovering over a node, and clicking the + sign.
Additionally, we improved the UI a bit to make it easy to close out the panel!
You can now easily add Tags from Slack directly without having to goto Dots app. More info here.
You can now trigger DMs to be sent out when a member joins a channel! Check this out in the "Automations" tab of the Dots dashboard. Some of our communities are using this to let them know about a specific guideline posting in a channel for example. Let us know if you have any feedback!
We spent the last week improving our app performance to handle larger loads, and we pushed a new update today that makes it significantly faster. No more waiting a few seconds for views to loads.
